Make yours @ BigHugeLabs.com
http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/map.php

I think this is all the states I've been to. I'm sure I've driven through more. My sister and I used to have a coloring sheet of the US and we would color in each state that we visited. I have no idea where I might have misplaced that 20 years ago, so this is based on my memory, which is admittedly not the best.

Ok, so I used a picture from my recent vacation, and used a fd flickr toy to make this. It was kind of fun. I took this picture in San Francisco's Mission District, and it deals with the gentrification going on in that area. Much like in Columbus, condos are going up everywhere........

I like this particular toy. Make art with art.

Library Thing....

Ok, so maybe it's because I haven't used Library Thing enough, but I much prefer Good Reads. I am addicted to putting my books on Good Reads, and I'm not really digging Library Thing. I'll try it out again, give it another chance.

I'm all a-twitter........

Not about these shoes, but about twitter.com! It is interesting to see what people write with a limited amount of space. Forces them to be more concise, and get right to the point. (although this is in direct opposition to the way I tell a story) Plus it allows me to keep up with what Mr. Obama is up to. When we were on vacation, Judah sent twitters from his phone about what we were doing. So his posts kind of serve as pseudo travel journal. All in all, I like it.

As far as libraries go, I think it could be a way to promote programs, services, and give news about changes that are going on in the library.

Library related musings

So I did some exploring of library related feeds and blogs. Found a NY Times feed about Libraries and Librarians, which had some cool articles. Nothing else really of interest. Then I searched for Library blogs, and didn't really find anything that I was in love with. Found one titled Library Grrrrls! and perused Tame the Web. I guess maybe because I work in a library 40 hours a week and am in library school, I have no interest in reading anything more about libraries. My eyes just start to glaze over and my brain starts shutting down. No offense Learn & Play.

Bloglines

ok, so here is the link to my blogline account:
http://www.bloglines.com/public/One-more-pair-of-shoes

While I do think that this is a kind of cool service, as a person who doesn't really regularly read other people's blogs, or really anything on the internet except celebrity news, this is not something I think that I'll really use.

I-Pod docks

Have you ever used an I-Pod dock? Do you know how fabulous they are? Especially when traveling with your family, because you get to listen to new music and compare music tastes. It allows you to have a whole library of music with you. I love my I-Pod, and this is it's soul mate.
